Marcelle A. (Bouhour) Beaulieu, 95, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
She was born in Gennevilliers, France on February 3, 1925 to Alexandre and Hortense (Blangenois) Bouhour. Marcelle met her husband Jean Paul during World War II in Paris, France. She came over to America on the first War Bride ship with her newborn son and settled with her husband in Worcester. She worked as a dressmaker/seamstress at various exclusive Dress Shops downtown, while building her own clientele and started working from home so she could take care of her invalid husband. She enjoyed knitting and sewing for her daughters and granddaughters...Prom and wedding gowns the most.
Marcelle was predeceased by her husband Jean-Paul Beaulieu in 1980 and her daughter Michelle M. O'Connor in 2015. She is survived by three children; Gerard Beaulieu of Oakdale, Ct, Jacqueline Dufresne of Worcester and Monique M. Koutsoukounis and her husband Christos of Paxton. She was a loving Mémé to 11 grandchildren and Great Mémé to seven great grandchildren. Marcelle was predeceased by her sister, Jaqueline Coutrier in France.
Funeral Services and Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be held privately.
