Margaret Ann Borge

Margaret Ann Borge, 95, of West Boylston and formerly of Gloucester, died July 21, 2022 at the Oakdale Nursing and Rehab Center in West Boylston.

Born in Gloucester on December 24, 1926, Margaret was the daughter of the late Edward L. Strople and Margaret A. (MacDonald) Strople. She was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1944.

After marrying the late Frank F. Borge, Jr. in 1949, Margaret lived and worked in Gloucester for over 50 years.  She moved to West Boylston in 2002 to be closer to her family.

Margaret graduated from Forsythe School as a Dental Hygienist. She worked as a hygienist in various offices up to the age of 80.

She enjoyed her work, loved the arts, theater, and old movies, but mostly treasured her time with her family.

Margaret is survived by one daughter and son-in-law and three sons and daughters-in-law; Nancy and Dave Connelly of Pompano Beach, Florida, Tom and Betsy Borge of Sterling, Peter and Jeanne Borge of West Boylston, and Philip and Claire Borge of Vacaville, California. She also leaves her seven much-loved grandchildren:  Heather Leroux, Adam, and Darren Borge, Kate and Andrea Borge, and Michael and Theresa Borge and her six great grandchildren, DJ, Jacob, Abram, Emily, Michael, and Abbigail.  She was predeceased by her husband Frank F. Borge Jr. in 1987.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Margaret's life with visiting hours on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9:00 until10:00am at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston.  A funeral service will begin at 10:00am in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
