Margaret A. (Scott) Mackintire, 73, of 2 Fiske St. died Wednesday, April 5, at home.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, John E. Mackintire; three daughters, Maryellen O'Day, Margaret A. Buzzell and Kathleen M. Allain all of Worcester; four sons, John S. of Worcester, Robert P. of Shrewsbury, Thomas X. of Westboro and Paul J. of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Donahue of Worcester. A brother Jack "Skitchy" Scott predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John P. and Teresa (O'Connor) Scott and graduated from St. Peter's High School and attended Worcester State College.
Margaret worked at St. Peter Marian High School in the guidance department for 10 years, before retiring. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, the Emerald Club of Worcester County and the Worcester Dinettes.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 8, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10am in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 7, from 4 to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the Mercy Centre, 25 West Chester St., Worcester, 01606.
