WORCESTER-Margaret T. (Farley) McNamara, 89, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at Knollwood Nursing Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. McNamara in 1981, grandson, Daniel P. Lyons and brother, John F. Farley, Sr. in 2009. She leaves her three children: Richard and his wife, Mary S., Ann Marie Faiola and her husband, Joseph, Patricia Lyons and her husband Raymond C,, grandchildren, Joseph Faiola Jr. and his wife Anne Marie, Michael A. Faiola, Sean M. Lyons, Brian P., Kevin M., James R. and Timothy J. McNamara and two great grandchildren, Alyssa S. and Angelina V. Faiola, brother, Joseph W. Farley and several nephews and nieces. Margaret was born in Worcester, MA the daughter of Joseph W. and Margaret T. (Reardon) Farley and graduated from Commerce High School. She worked in the office at Melville Shoe. Margaret was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a member of Guild of Our Lady of Providence. She did volunteer work at St. Vincent's Hospital as well as one of the volunteers who knitted hats for newborns.
Margaret's funeral will be held Friday, December 31, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 551 Pleasant St. St. Visiting hours will be from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Patrick Comer Courage Foundation, Box 282, Princeton, MA 01541-0282.
