Margaret (Sahagian) Mooradian, 89, formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2019 at home, in the loving care of her daughter and her family.
Margaret was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Avedis and Zabel (Nazarian) Sahagian. She lived in Worcester for many years before moving to her daughter and son-in-law's home in Leicester 11 years ago.
For Margaret, everything was built around her family circle. Many special memories were made playing checkers and other board games with her family. Margaret enjoyed music and was an expert at the game of name that tune. She truly enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as music and singing, taking a walk around her neighborhood, enjoying a good candy bar or simply spending time with her husband watching television. She was happiest as she cared for and spent time with her family, whether providing a home cooked meal or just a listening ear. Margaret was a lover of all animals and particularly loved her cat. She was a longtime member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, Worcester.
Her beloved husband, of 58 years, Meanes "Moe" Mooradian died in 2012. She will be forever loved and missed by her daughter and caregiver whom she lived with , Sara Soojian and her husband, Michael who provided exceptional care and attention to her ; her son, Arthur Mooradian and his wife, Donna of Worcester; her five grandsons, Luke, Mark and Matthew Soojian and Daniel and Alex Mooradian; her sisters, Kay Muksian and Mary Yediares, both of Rhode Island; several nephews and a niece.
The family would like to thank the caregivers that helped Margaret remain at home; Karla, Nurkys, Liz and a special thank you to Aida.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Margaret's family on Wednesday, July 31st from 10- 11 a.m. at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
