WORCESTER-Margaret Claire Sullivan died peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Irish emigrants John J. and Julia J. (O'Meara) Sullivan and graduated from Ascension High School. Ms. Sullivan worked at the Worcester Public Library for over 40 years before retiring.
She is survived by her loving sister and brother, Ann M. Sullivan with whom she resided and Joseph Paul Sullivan, Sr. and his wife Mary, of Worcester. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and her devoted caregiver, Sandra Smajkiewicz. Claire was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel F. Sullivan and John Sullivan, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Sullivan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31st at St. John's Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be private.
