Marguerite Mary (O'Leary) Moroney, 89 years old, of Millbury, Massachusetts, died on October 15th at Notre Dame Longterm Healthcare in Worcester and is mourned by her loving family.

Mrs. Moroney, widow of the late James E. Moroney, is survived by her two children; Monsignor James Patrick Moroney of Brighton and Deborah Ann (Moroney) Galanos of North Brookfield; her two grandchildren, Daniel Galanos of North Brookfield and Meghan Voelsing of Plattsburgh, New York.

Peggy was the youngest daughter of James Stephen O'Leary and Nora Cecilia (Loughlin) O'Leary and grew up in the North End of Worcester along with her six brothers and sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Mae" Horgan, John Thomas "Jackie" O'Leary, James "Little Jimmy" O'Leary (who died as an infant), Gertrude Watson, Nora Cecilia Keeney, and Edward Francis O'Leary. She outlived all her brothers and sisters, as well as her husband of sixty-six years, who died in February, 2012.
After graduating from Commerce High School, Mrs. Moroney worked as a technician at the Techron Division of the General Electric Company in Worcester.
She raised her family with her beloved Jimmy, building a house in Millbury, Massachusetts. She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Brigid's Parish in Millbury and dedicated her life to her husband and family.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, October 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, 15 Chatham Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. Mourners are invited to pray for Mrs. Moroney at the wake from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Callahan, Fay and Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
