Marguerite T. (Collins) Purcell, 80, formerly of Worcester, died Friday, February 1, in the Greenbriar Nursing Home, Nashua , New Hampshire, after an illness.
Her husband Jeremiah T. Purcell died in 1968. She leaves two sons, Jerald T. Purcell of Worcester and David M. Purcell of Atkinson, New Hampshire; a daughter Maureen Michaud of Amherst, New Hampshire; eight grand children, three great grand children and several nephews and nieces. A daughter Patricia A. Stolberg of Worcester died last year, a brother, John F. Collins of Worcester died in 1979, and a sister, Frances V. McCullum of Hollywood, FL died in 1977. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Leonard) Collins and lived here most of her life, moving the Atkinson, New Hampshire in 1996. She was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, February 5, from Fay brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. Worcester; with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral 15 Chatham St., Worcester, Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, February 4 at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Eastern Mass 36 Cameron Ave. Cambridge 02140
