Maria J. Cartagena

WORCESTER-Maria J. (Ramos) Cartagena, 84, died Sun., Sept. 9 in Whittier Rehab Hospital. Her husband, Juan F. Cartagena died in 1993. She leaves her children, Luis A. Perez of Annandale, VA, Rosemary Donis and Gladys E. Perez, both of Worc. and Alba A. Granillo in El Salvador; a stepdaughter,Teresa Lozano in NJ; several grandchildren and a great grandson. She also leaves two sisters, Esther and Blanca Ramos in Australia.

She was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, daughter of Juan and Antonia Ramos. Maria has lived in Worcester for 20 years.

Visiting hours are Tues., Sept. 11 from 6:30-9:00 PM with a Service at 7:30 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Family and friends will gather Wed., Sept. 12, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and then proceed to Worc. County Memorial Park, Paxton for burial. www.callahanfay.com
