WORCESTER- Marie A. (Healey) Jeznach, 84, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 15 in the Hospice Residence on Coes Pond after a brief stay. She leaves her beloved and devoted husband Edward S. Jeznach. Eddie and Marie recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She also leaves her family, Edward J. Jeznach, Mary Vierling, Kathleen Foley and Terri Serra and their spouses and grandchildren. She has one surviving brother James Healey of Florida and his family. Marie was a devoted mother and later grandmother who truly enjoyed her immediate and extended family.
Marie was the daughter of James and Mary (McKeon) Healey, lived in Worcester her entire life and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She later worked at Crompton and Knowles as a bookkeeper and secretary. Eddie and Marie were married at Sacred Heart Church on August 24, 1946, after World War II.
Marie enjoyed her family and friends throughout the years and shared many fond memories. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Church. She had many hobbies including reading, crocheting, following New England sports teams and current news events. To all who knew her, her Irish sense of humor, courage and strength will remain with us.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 18 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Stephens Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
