Marilyn F. (Giguere) Collins, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at Christopher House, leaving behind a family and countless friends who will forever cherish her love, strength, and unforgettable spirit. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence E. Collins, in 2020 and her son, Sean R. Collins, in 2022.

Born in Worcester on August 2, 1945, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret E. (Courtney) and Raymond J. Giguere. She was a proud graduate of Commerce High School and spent her career as a dedicated record keeper and secretary for several local businesses. She devoted many years to the Safety Council, where her exceptional attention to detail, organization, and professionalism earned the admiration and respect of her coworkers.

Marilyn was a woman of incredible resilience. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, she faced every challenge with courage, grace, and determination. She was passionate about giving back, volunteering for breast cancer awareness and support initiatives, and proudly participating in the Pink Revolution. She inspired many through her strength and unwavering optimism.

Above all else, Marilyn was devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her husband and took great joy in raising their boys. Whether she was cheering from the stands at countless hockey and baseball games, enjoying family vacations, or spending treasured summers on Cape Cod, Marilyn found her greatest happiness surrounded by those she loved. She and her husband also shared a love of traveling, creating cherished memories together throughout the years.

Marilyn also treasured her lifelong friendships. Since the age of five, Cathy, and Sharon remained among her closest companions, sharing a lifetime of laughter, love, and unwavering support. She loved shopping, spending time with friends, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate life's special moments.

Known for always wearing a smile, Marilyn brought warmth and joy wherever she went. She delighted in decorating her home for every holiday and special occasion, creating a welcoming place where family and friends always felt at home.

Those who knew Marilyn will remember her as a strong and tough woman with a heart full of love. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, endlessly generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She possessed a wonderful blend of elegance and wit—truly "sassy and classy"—and had a remarkable ability to make others smile.

Many will miss her deeply, including her son, Keith L. Collins of Auburn and her two grandsons, Joseph K. Collins and Michael A. Collins.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Marilyn’s life with visiting hours at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester on Monday, July 13th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 10:30am in Saint John’s Catholic Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St, Winchendon promptly at 1:00pm.
