Marion Hovenesian, 94, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born in Worcester on September 4, 1924 a daughter of Armenian immigrants, Carnig and Lucy (Astorian) Alexanderian. She attended local schools and worked for her family's business Rite Dry Cleaners (corner of Park Ave. and Pleasant St.) for many years.
Mrs. Hovenesian was a private woman who enjoyed discussing politics and listening to political radio talk shows. She was an active member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour and a member of the Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Daughters of Vartan.
She leaves behind her daughter, Marsha Hovenesian with whom she lived; a sister, Dorothy Surabian of Medford and her children, Steven and Karen; many cousins and extended family members.
Her family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Beaumont 4th floor. In addition, her caregivers at home, Asma, Gabbie, Juliana, Michelle for the exceptional care that they provided.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, October 27th at 10:00am at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
