WRENTHAM-Marion S. "Bette" (Stewart) Shaw, 92, passed away on Saturday, November 15th surrounded by her loving family.

Bette was born in Worcester on July 9, 1922 daughter of the late Howard and Marion (Whitcomb) Stewart, formerly of Worcester. She attended North High School and graduated from Damon Jr. College in Newton Centre and Amy Sacker School of Design in Boston.

Bette was active in church and hospital groups in Worcester until 1957. She moved to Wellesley Hills in 1957, where she lived for 26 years. In Wellesley, she was a member of Eastern Star, Amos Mills Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Wellesley Hills Woman's Club and Wellesley Village Church.

She moved to Chatham in 1983, where she was a member of the First Congregational Church, Chatham Garden Club, Cape Cod Hospital Association and Eastward Ho! Country Club.

Bette moved to Medfield in 1994 and Walpole in 2004. Bette leaves her four loving daughters, Judith Kaletski of East Greenwich, RI, Sandra Hay of Dorchester, Deborah Correale of West Chester, PA and Penelope Rutledge of Norfolk, MA; eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Earle W. Shaw, Jr., her daughter, Susan Mereness, her granddaughter, Debra Mereness and her brother, Craig Stewart.

Bette's Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:00 am at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Medfield Animal Shelter, 101 Old Bridge St., Medfield, MA 02052 (www.medfieldshelter.com).
