Marion C. Wise

 Marion C. (Hedberg) Wise, 100, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.

   Her husband of 72 years, George H. Wise died in 2017.  She leaves two sons; Garry Wise and Larry Wise both of Worcester, two grandsons; Brian and Glenn Wise.  She was predeceased by an infant son Glenn C. Wise, two brothers; Fred W. and Carl B. Hedberg and her daughter-in-law Susan Wise.

   Marion was born in Worcester, daughter of Carl W. and Hilda M. (Rask) Hedberg.  She graduated from Commerce High School in 1940.  She was an executive secretary for many years at the Selective Service System retiring in 1973.  She was a former member and secretary of the Women’s Mission Circle of Grace Baptist Church.  A longtime member of the Citadel Corps & Young at Heart Senior Group at the Salvation Army.  She enjoyed watching classic movies and loved doing crossword puzzles.

  The funeral will be held on Monday, November 21 at 11:00 AM in Caswell, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.  Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.  A visitation will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 640 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
