Marion S. Woods

WORCESTER-Marion S. (Stevenson) Woods, 89 of Stark Road, died Thursday, October 4th in UMASS Memorial Healthcare. Her husband of 53 years, Russell J. Woods died in 1999. She leaves a daughter, Susan W., wife of Thomas Cox, Jr. of Williamsburg, VA; a grandson, Thomas Russell "Rusty" Cox and his wife Dillon of Potomac, MD; numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by four brothers, Robert, Jonathan, Samuel and Mark Stevenson and four sisters, Mary "Mae" Floodman, Sarah "Sadie" Wray, Margaret "Daisy" Johnson and Ellen "Ellie" Anderson.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mark and Rebecca J. (Dalzell) Stevenson and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Woods worked at Riley Stoker Corporation for many years. She was a long time member of Greendale People's Church.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 10:00 AM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday, October 5th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis St., Worcester, MA 01606.
