Marjorie N. (Eager) Battelle 83, of 11 Lake Ave. died Saturday, Dec. 4, in the St. Francis Home.

Her husband Joseph R. "Bunny" Battelle died in 1953. She leaves a son, Joseph R. Battelle of Worcester; four daughters, Margaret M. Battelle of Provincetown, Catherine M. Gilbert of Columbia, CT, Elizabeth A. Manach of Brewster, and Patricia A. Dineen of Leicester; a sister, Dorothy J. Maznik of Worcester; eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter, of James H. and Nora L. (Dunne) Eager and graduated from Ascension High School.

Marjorie was a clerk at the former Worcester City Hospital for several years before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

A Funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Monday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, may be made to Food for the Poor c/o St. John's Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester, 01604.
