WORCESTER
Marjorie M. (Leahy) Gallivan, 79, of Worcester died peacefully Saturday, November 27 in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehab. Center.
Her husband John C. Gallivan died in 1985. She leaves six siblings, Mary A. Kent and her husband Earl of Holden, Kathleen O'Mahony and her husband Dan, Mark Leahy and his wife Mary, Anne Govan, Lucy O'Leary and Patrick Leahy and his wife Nora all in Ireland and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Virginia Leahy and brother, Sean Leahy predeceased her. She was born in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland on December 15, 1930 daughter of Matthew and Margaret (Lyne) Leahy and was educated in Ireland and continued her education in the United States.
Marjorie was a nurse for 47 years, first at Cushing Hospital in Framingham and later at the Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church and loved animals and enjoyed gardening. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
The funeral will be held Thursday, December 2 at 11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
