Worcester-Marla Y. Trahan, 52, passed away Thursday, July 25. Marla was a talented, loving person who made friends with everyone she met. She was by nature an artistic, emotion driven person who wrote well, from the heart, from genuine feelings. Her drawings were always playful and colorful. She loved to talk in person, on the phone, by text, or by Facebook. Yes, she loved to talk.
While Marla was a person of many contradictions at heart she was a kind and loving person. She was the life of the party, full of fun. But she was also streetwise, a fighter and a survivor. Without question she loved her daughters, grandchildren, siblings and parents. Now we can only be thankful for the time we had with her and do our best to remember the fond memories we each have to cherish.
She leaves three daughters; Amber M. Allen of New Bedford, Ashlyn J. Ferreira and her husband, Brian of Fall River and Autumn P. Trahan of Fall River; her parents, Emile J. and Patricia (Francis) Bourbeau; three grandchildren, Preston, Madysen and Emmett; six siblings, Mary B. Cruz, Marshall P. Allen, Marsha V. Freire, Amanda L. Bourbeau; Emile J. Bourbeau and Diana L. Gallant and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Joanna M. Veilleux passed away on July 11.
She was born in Hyannis, and attended New Bedford High School.
