Martin D. Patton, 85, of Auburn MA and Naples FL died on June 27,2022 in Naples from complications related to a broken toe.

  He was the son of John and Sarah (Dugan) Patton. Martin was predeceased by his parents John and Sarah Patton, brothers John, Robert (Rae Ann), Patrick (Nora) and a sister Noreen Patton.

  He is survived by his wife Margaret T. Patton of Auburn, his children Sarah (Andrew McGrath) of Sutton, Patrick Patton of Worcester, Mary Giangregorio (James) of Sutton, Noreen Lambert (Gary) of Auburn, and Theresa Patton of Auburn. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Sarah Lonstein (Bryan) of Worcester, Ryan Giangregorio of Sutton, Erin, Kristen and Delia Lambert of Auburn, and cousins Donna Peto of Bonita Springs FL and Mimi Guarneri of Louisville KY. Martin also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.

  He was born in Cleveland OH and was a graduate of St. Edward's High School in Lakewood OH. He attended The University of Dayton and served in The  Ohio National Guard.

  Martin worked for a major corporation and then one day, seeking a change, he bought The Irish House Pub in Worcester MA. He then opened a restaurant in Worcester, The Emerald Isle, which he and his family operated for many years. Martin was an accomplished golfer, bowler and billiards player. He enjoyed playing cards and attending thoroughbred horse racing events, and at one time owned two racehorses. Martin enjoyed being with his many friends both here and in Naples. He was very fond of animals especially dogs.

 A Funeral Mass with live video streaming will be held on Friday July 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St John’s Church, 44 Temple Street Worcester, MA (see link above).  In lieu of flowers, please bring a donation of a canned food for The St. John's Food For The Poor Program.

 Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
