West Boylston
Mary (Ferrandino) Anthony 97, passed away Jan. 26, at the Oakdale Nursing Home, where she was a resident for one year.
She and her husband of 45 years, Albert, who died in 1973, leave 42 decedents. She leaves a son, Dr. Albert Anthony of Tampa, Fl; two daughters, Loretta Kittredge and her husband Michael of West Boylston and Dolores DuPont and her husband David of Scottsdale, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Angelo and Frank Ferrandino both of West Boylston. Her daughter Mary Mulcahy and her son predeceased her along with three brothers, Anthony, Michael and Patsy and a sister Catherine.
Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Matthew and Maria (Totaro) Ferrandino and moved to West Boylston at the age of 5, she attended schools there and business school in Worcester.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and one of the first eucharistic ministers there and a charter member of its Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of the West Boylston Women's Club and the Just Friends Group. She was devoted to her family and an inspiration to many. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., with a Mass at Noon in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in the spring in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Calling hours, are Friday, Jan. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. W. Boylston, 01583 or to Problem Pregnancy of Worcester Inc., 625 Lincoln St., PO Box 7422, Worcester, 01605-7422.
