WORCESTER-Mary (Melichian) Artinian Davoudian, 94, passed peacefully on March 11, 2018. Born in Craiova, Romania, she immigrated to Worcester in 1962. She survived her brother, Gabriele Melichian and is survived by her three daughters and their husbands Alice and Jim Apostolou, Simona and Sergiu Alenak, and Vartus and Paul Varadian, and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Armenian Relief Society, an avid reader since childhood, a fierce backgammon player, prized gardener, and a GREAT cook. Mary worked at numerous companies, finally retiring at age 80 after running her late husband's Commerce Jewelry. A great mother, loved by all with the ability to instill in others optimism, positive thinking, kindness, and a zest for life.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am at the Armenian Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove St. Worcester, on Friday, March 16th. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery. A visiting hour will also be held at church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Donations can be made directly to the church.
