Mary (McConnon) Barakat

WEST BOYLSTON- Mary (McConnon) Barakat, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday June 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 3, 1944 the daughter of John and Mildred (Leitz) McConnon. Mary earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Assumption College and was employed for many years as a nurse with VNA Care Hospice. She was an avid gardener and cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children, Ned Barakat and his wife Jessica of West Boylston, Alex Barakat and his wife Julie Theriault of Worcester, Chris Barakat and his husband Tom Graef of Westborough, and MN Barakat and Sarah Ston of Los Angeles. She also leaves her four grandchildren Eliot, Brynn, Bodhi, and Felix.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17th at 11:00am at Our Lady of Good Council Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
