WORCESTER- Mary T. (Donoghue) Bradshaw, 94, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023 at the Charlton Manor in Charlton, MA.   

She was the wife of the late Leonard A. Bradshaw who passed away in 2013. 

Mary was born in Worcester on January 23, 1929, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Coffee) Donoghue. She was a graduate of South High School (1947) and Saint Vincent School of Nursing, class of 1950. She began her nursing career at the Deaconess Medical Center, Boston and returned to Saint Vincent Hospital, in Worcester, to work on the medical surgery unit there. In 1990, she retired from the Worcester County Hospital. 

She leaves behind her daughters, Catherine C. Lepore and her husband, Peter of Worcester, Margaret R. Moynahan and her husband, Michael of West Boylston, and Mary T. Johnson and her husband, Kevin of Rochdale; eight grandchildren: Patrick Lepore (Megan), Kristen Firmin (Jason), Sean Lepore, (Alison), David Moynahan (Megan), Meaghan Nikonchuk (Erik), Kelly Finnerty (Brian), Julie Johnson, and Colleen Johnson; eight great-grandchildren: Cole, Brielle, Avery, Quinten, Benjamin, Theodore, Alaina and Archer. 

She leaves a sister, Catherine C. Petty, (John-predeceased) and two brothers, Thomas F. Donoghue (Kathleen) and Michael J. Donoghue (Maureen). A sister, Margaret R. Donoghue predeceased her in 1989. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

She was a former member of the Guild of Saint Agnes, the Saint Vincent Hospital Alumni Association, and a long-time member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. In her spare time, she loved road trips around N.E., preparing for Sunday dinners and baking sweet breads and apple pies.  She will be sadly missed.   

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mary’s life with visiting hours on Thursday, March 2nd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday March 3rd at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the compassionate staff at Charlton Manor, for their kindness and exceptional caregiving toward our mother during her stay there.
