WORCESTER-Mary P. (Fisher) Coffey, 88, of Worcester, died Sunday, February 1 in The Golden Living Center - The Hermitage. She leaves her husband of 57 years, Edward J. Coffey; a sister, Clare Carlson of Worcester; step granddaughter, Jill Marie Coffey; goddaughter, Patricia Richards of Holliston; her caregivers, Judy and Jeff Coffey of Worcester; many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Fisher who was killed in Korea and Joseph Fisher; a sister, Ann Maloof and a stepson, Neil Coffey.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter and Clare (Murphy) Fisher and graduated from Commerce High School. Mary worked for the Department of Defense as a Quality Control Inspector for the Space Program for many years. She was a member of DAV-Marian League, Elks Emblem Club and the 39er's Club.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Monday, February 2nd from 4-7 PM in the funeral Home.
