Mary R. (Rosie) Dawson 79, of 51 Fales St. died Wednesday (Dec.18) at Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, after an illness.

Her husband, Harry E. Dawson died in 1979. She leaves a son, Harry E. Dawson and a daughter, Sandra L. Grady both of Worcester, a brother, Alexander Rosie of Virginia, a sister, Catherine Hudson of Harrisburg, PA, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Eunice A. Robinson of Worcester, predeceased her. She was born in Braughty Ferry, Scotland, daughter of Alexander and Catherine (Bayne) Rosie.

She was a secretary at David Gessner Company for several years, before retiring.

She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.

A Graveside Service will held Saturday (Dec.21) at 11 a.m. in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Network Inc. 120 Thomas St. Worcester 01608. Fay Brothers Funeral Home (www.faybrothers.com) 9 Hammond St. is directing arrangements.
