Thompson, CT- Mary (Pageau) Dion, 62, formerly of Worcester and Millbury died Friday, July 3 in Day Kimball Hospital.
Her husband Gerald Dion died in 2009. She leaves a sister, Donna A. Pageau of Thompson, CT; four nephews, Kevin and his wife, Andrea Pageau of Charlton, Robert and his wife, Mary Jean Pageau of Millbury, Michael and his wife, Amy Pageau of Northboro and Edward Pageau of Worcester and great-nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Francis E. and Robert P. Pageau predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph E. and Irene M. (King) Pageau and graduated from St. Peter's High School and Assumption College.
Mary was a secretary at Loomis Corporation, prior to that she worked at Commerce Insurance and Polyclad. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Mary enjoyed traveling to Aruba and going to golf tournaments with her husband. She loved dogs and was involved in numerous competitions with the American Kennel Club. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday, July 9 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, July 8 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, 01606 or to help with cancer research c/o of UMASS Medicine Development Office, 333 South St., Shrewsbury, 01545.
