Mary J. Gardner

WEST BOYLSTONMary J. (Bourgoine) Gardner, 101 formerly of 4 Wood St. died Sunday, January 11th in the Meadows of Leicester. Her husband George N. Gardner died in 1965. She leaves a son, George G. Gardner of Willimantic, CT; 3 daughters, Mary E. Huntoon of Sterling, Janet A. Consiglio of Largo, FL and Naureen J. Buck of Houston, TX. 19 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, Thomas A. Gardner and a grandson, Richard W. Huntoon predeceased her.

She was born in Hancock, New Hampshire daughter of Gregoire and Dorela (Gilman) Bourgoine and has lived in West Boylston for most of her life where she was the town's oldest resident. Mrs. Gardner was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and it's Woman's Club. She enjoyed crocheting, visiting with her family and friends and sitting on her front porch.

The funeral will be Friday, January 16th from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 15th from 3:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
