WORCESTER-Mary Kumah affectionately known to family and friends as "AKOS" 79 died peacefully at U MASS Memorial Healthcare on July 23, 2005. She was born in Kumasi, Ghana the daughter of Nana Yaa Pomah and Nana Akwasi Kumah who predeceased her. Mary lived in Worcester from July 1991 until 1998 and then moved back to Ghana to be with her grandchildren. She returned to Worcester in 2003..She is survived by many children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and all friends alike.
Calling hours will be Saturday, August 20 from 10:00 AM until Noon with a prayer service beginning at Noon in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will be in Kumasi, Ghana. Aunty Mary-Rest In Peace.
