WORCESTER- Mary Palian, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Stefanos Palian who passed away in 2001.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Arsine Sahverdiyan and her husband Kirkor of Holden; Armine Pappakou of Greece and Koharig Kochian and her husband Jack of Worcester; her siblings; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Mary was born in Greece on August 5, 1925 to the late Armenak and Srpouhi (Sarkessian) Takesian and resided there for much of her childhood until moving to the United States with her family. Mary was an excellent cook and kept her kitchen spotless. She enjoyed being dressed up and always looked amazing. Above all she enjoyed the time she spent taking care of her grandchildren. Family was the central part of her life.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester. There are no calling hours. CALLAHAN-FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester, , is assisting the family with arrangements.
