Mary A. (Campbell) Swett 78, of 9 Rose Lane "went home peacefully" February 17 at the Worcester Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Mary leaves her devoted husband of 57 years, Walter W. Swett; three sons, Walter W. Swett Jr., Richard E. and his wife, Kathi Swett, and David J. and his wife, Alice Swett all of Worcester; five sisters, Alice Adams, Josephine Anderson, Helen Comrie, Effie Sodagar, and Hazel Campbell all of Auburn; seven grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. A brother, Frank Campbell and two sisters, Nellie Tsianco and Laura Bolton, predeceased her.

Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Laura May (Bemis) Campbell. She graduated from Commerce High School. Besides being a successful homemaker, she worked part-time at the Fair Department Store.

Mary was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church, including bookkeeping for the Sunday School and administrative work for the Woman's Missionary Council and the Fifty Niners.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church, 30 Tyler Prentice Rd. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday, Feb. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Department at Saint Vincent Hospital, 20 Worcester Center Blvd. Worcester 01608.
