IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary M.
Valinski
December 17, 1931 – January 18, 2026
**Due to the impending winter storm, services are rescheduled to Tuesday, January 27th**
Mary M. (Keating) Valinski, 94, passed away peacefully on January 18, at Homestead Hall, surrounded by the love of her family. Her beloved husband William M. Valinski, Jr. passed away in 2017.
Mary was born in Worcester, the beloved daughter of the late Delia (Curtin) and Patrick Keating. She was a graduate of Worcester North High School and continued her education at Assumption College and the Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. Mary dedicated a large part of her career to nursing, working at Worcester City Hospital as well as several local hospitals and nursing homes, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and gentle care of others.
Mary was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an active member of the Artisan Guild of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Village Crafters. Together with her husband, she enjoyed crafting and making handmade furniture for American Girl dolls, a hobby that brought her great joy. She also loved cooking and baking, especially cookies, and took pride in sharing her creations with family and friends. Crafting remained a lifelong passion that reflected her creativity and patience.
She is survived by her three sons: William Valinski and his wife, Linda, of Worcester; Paul Valinski of Athol; and Steven Valinski of Oxford, husband of the late Jane (Healy-Levasseur); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband; her beloved grandson, Jimmy Valinski; and her siblings, Edmund Keating, Kathleen (Keating) Barrette, and Paul Keating.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Homestead Hall and Goddard & Hall Senior Living for their kindness, compassion, and exceptional care.
