MaryJane (Colangelo) Carlson, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on August 13, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert K. Carlson, Sr., with whom she spent over 57 years of marriage with.
MaryJane was born in Worcester on February 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Alma (Lostracco) and Joseph Colangelo.
Dedicating more than 40 years of her life to the family business, MaryJane worked as the office manager. She was a hardworking, dependable woman who took great pride in being part of the family business.
In MaryJane’s free time she enjoyed trips to the casino with her husband. She also loved playing cards with her friends and family. Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine was her favorite place to visit. On of her favorite pastimes was watching Law and Order with her cat, Rocco. Mary Jane was a great cook who enjoyed having her home filled with family. She was also an avid collector of anything gingerbread.
A simple, down-to-earth woman, MaryJane was not one for anything “frilly.” She appreciated the simple things in life and, above all, cherished her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy and many happy memories.
She leaves many behind that will miss her deeply including her four children, Robert K. Carlson, Jr and spouse Kimberly, Diana Carey and spouse Mike, Linda Elie and spouse David and Joseph Carlson with whom she lived with. Her grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Danielle, Stephanie, Robert, Devin and great-grandchildren: Westin, Navie, Ace, Charlotte, Oliver, Scarlett and Beau and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of MaryJane’s life with visiting hours at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston on Monday, August 17th from 5:00 until 7:00pm. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to consider a donation to VNA Care, 67 Millbrook Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
