Maura A. O'Neill

AUBURN-Maura A. O’Neill died in Worcester, on Monday, January 1, 2024.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, Maura was the daughter of the late Frederick L. and Alice E. (Loughlin) O’Neill. She graduated from Ascension High School in Worcester, and Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA.

Maura was an English teacher for many years at Chandler Junior High School in Worcester. After earning her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from New England School of Law in Boston, she practiced law for several years.

Besides her parents, Maura was predeceased by her sister, Katherine M. O’Neill, with whom she lived for many years. She is survived by many cousins.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish, 228 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA.  Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of Providence Church, 228 Lincoln Street, Worcester, 01605.  Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
