WORCESTER-Maureen R. Henry, 78, died Friday, April 29, 2022 peacefully in her home.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Martin J. and Catherine L. (Murphy) Henry, attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Girls Trade School. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Maureen worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Edward Street Day Care Center for several years and later retired from Head Start of Worcester.

Maureen is survived by her brother Paul Henry of Worcester, 14 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by eight siblings: Robert, Martin, William "Dinny", Francis "Whitey", Thomas "Butch", John "Jackie", Kathleen and Michael, and her beloved dog, Lewis.

Maureen belonged to several bowling leagues throughout the years. She enjoyed going to the beach, especially Old Orchard and Wells beaches in Maine. She also enjoyed going to flea markets. Maureen was known for her quick wit, something her family will miss dearly. She truly cherished spending time with her family, and was the first to offer to hold any of the newest members of the family.

Maureen's funeral has been scheduled for Friday, May 6th at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street.

Visiting hours will be from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM immediately followed by a Service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment in St. John's Cemetery will follow.
