Maureen R. Reno passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Saint Francis Home in Worcester after a courageous 31-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She was the wife of the late Michael F. Reno, Sr., who passed away in 2008.

Maureen was born in Worcester on July 11, 1946 a daughter of the late Irving and Dorothy (Savoy) Smith. She was raised in Worcester and attended Worcester Girls Trade School where she mastered her seamstress skills. From there Maureen began employment at the former Don Frederick Company and later at Newton Sportswear. She was a gifted and accomplished seamstress and enjoyed creating gifts for family and friends to treasure. Maureen volunteered for many years with the Maranville Baseball League and also delivering food to the elderly with the Meals on Wheels program.

Maureen leaves behind her loving children, Micheal Reno and his wife, Lisa of Charlton and Michele Hutchings of Oxford; six grandchildren, Zachary, Sydney, Colin, Hunter, Harper and Ryan; her siblings, Mark Savoy of California, Donna Bottali and her husband, Carlo and Nancy Laraia, all of Worcester; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The children of Maureen would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to staff at St. Francis who watched over their Momo during her stay.

Family and friends are invited to honor, remember and celebrate her life on Friday, March 16th from 5:00pm until 7:30pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester, with a Life Celebration Service to begin at 7:30pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis New England Chapter, 101 1st Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
