Michael R. Bartkus

WORCESTER-Michael R. Bartkus, 51, of Worcester, died Tuesday, September 9 at home. He leaves his wife Carmen (Rodriguez) Bartkus and his children; Ed Fonseca of Worcester, Joanne Fonseca of Auburn, Tasheena LaLiberte, Joe Rodriguez, Tara Grimes and Quianna Hamel, all of Worcester. He also leaves his mother Shirley (Lajoie) Bartkus, a sister Cheryl Auger both of Worcester, seven grandchildren and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and was predeceased by his father Robert Bartkus. He graduated from Burncoat Sr. High School and served in the US Navy. Michael worked for the Worcester Housing Authority for 27 years and was an avid motorcycle rider.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12 at 1:00 PM in Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 11 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
