Michael J. Fay, 51, of Worcester died Fri., Feb. 6, after a brief illness.
He leaves his mother, Catherine R. (Ladden) Fay of Worcester; two brothers, James E. Fay of Worcester and William J. Fay and his wife Donna M. of West Boylston; two sisters, Catherine F. Harrington and her husband Daniel of Rutland and Ann F. Michaels and her husband Robert of Andover; three nephews, William J. Fay, II and his wife Tamara A. of West Boylston, Michael J. Fay and his partner Sven Koppany of Boston and John K. Donahue, III of Rutland; five nieces, Deirdre F. Donahue of Rutland, Sudha C. Michaels, Anita F. Michaels, Smita J. Michaels and Sarah E. Michaels-Cassidy all of Andover; three great-nieces, Ella G. Fay, Lily G. Fay and Alana G. Fay all of West Boylston. He was born in Worcester, son of the late James E. Fay and graduated from, St. Peter's High School and Assumption College.
Michael was a Registered Optician for many years in the Worcester area. He was a member of Christ the King Church and the Alhambra Council %2388, Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Genesis Club of Worcester, where he gave freely of his time volunteering.
The funeral will be held Tues., Feb. 10, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Mon., Feb. 9 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Genesis Club, 274 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605.
