Michael F. Laverty

SAN DIEGO, CA/WORCESTER-Michael F. Laverty, 49, died in San Diego after an illness.

He leaves his mother, Loretta M. (McFadden) Laverty of Worcester; three brothers, William P. and Timothy J. Laverty of Worcester, John and his wife Mary of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Kathleen N., and Maureen A. Laverty both of Worcester, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a great niece and a great nephew.

He was born in Worcester the son of the late William P. Laverty and graduated from St. John's High School. Mike was a construction worker for various companies and formerly worked for Wyman Gordon. He was a member of the St. John's Alumni Association.

A memorial Mass will be Friday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
