Michael Leto, 65, passed away on September 11, 2022, at UMass Medical Center.

 

He was born in Worcester on September 4, 1957, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Teso) Leto and graduated from North High School in 1976.

 

A hardworking man and jack of all trades, Michael spent most of his career in distribution, working as an independent contractor with Bouyea Fasset Company. In earlier years, he and his family made many memories spending time at their camp in Wells, Maine. Michael volunteered his time coaching youth baseball and softball and was also an umpire with the ASA for several years. An avid bowler playing with various leagues, he held membership with the USBC and was looking forward to competing in Las Vegas prior to his passing.

 

He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Justina Leto and his grandson, Giovanni Leto of Worcester; his siblings, Joseph Leto and his wife, Nancy of Boylston, Helen Leto of Worcester, Camille Leto of Auburn, and Rose Ellen Godin and her husband, Ret. Maj. Stephen Godin; a brother-in-law, David Fallstrom; his beloved friend since childhood, Michael DiTerlizzi of Shrewsbury; his former wife, Carol A. (Scarborough) Leto; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

 

Michael was predeceased by his infant son, Joseph Leto, his beloved brother who helped raise him after his father’s passing, Anthony Leto and his sister, Joanne Fallstrom.

 

Family and friends will celebrate Michael’s life with visiting hours on Thursday, September 15th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Callahan, Fay and Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. His funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, September 16th in the funeral home and burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
