Mildred May (Martin) Erickson

WEST BOYLSTON - Mildred May (Martin) Erickson passed away at 100 years old in Sterling Village on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Born March 15, 1920 in Burlington, Vermont. She was predeceased by her parents Edson and Stella (Davis) Martin, her husband Edwin R Erickson, a son Richard, a granddaughter, Sandra Jean, her sister, Millie, and brother William, of Vermont.
Millie leaves behind her sons; Ronald L. Erickson and his wife, Elaine, of Leominster, Gary M. Erickson and his wife, Dianne, of West Boylston, her 7 grandchildren; Brian, Tara, Craig, Edwin, Robert, Kenneth, Andrew, 18 great grandchildren, and her brother Edson Martin and his wife, Anna, of Ludlow, Maine.
She will be deeply missed by her dear friend, Joanne Peeso, of West Boylston, along with many other family members and friends, some living in the Waterbury and Duxbury, Vermont areas.
Mrs. Erickson belonged to the VFW Woman's Auxiliary for many years and was also a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church, as well as, the OLGC Woman's Club, all of West Boylston.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to all the dedicated staff at Sterling Village. They always made their mother feel loved and cared for like one of their own family members, all the way to the end of her life. They especially made her feel like the "Queen" at her 100th birthday party. Millie's quote: "It took me 100 years to become famous!"
A burial will take place to celebrate Millie's life at High Plain Cemetery, West Boylston, on Sunday, August 30 at 1:30.
Millie loved all kinds of cats and would appreciate all donations go to Neady Cats, Attn: Marilyn, P.O. Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583, in memory of Millie Erickson.
