Mildred (Hagberg) Stockhaus, 93, of Worcester passed away Wed. Aug 15, in the Odd Fellows Home. She leaves her husband of 72 years, Robert A. Stockhaus; three children, Robert A. Stockhaus, Jr. and his wife Janet of Sturbridge, Richard K. Stockhaus and his wife Hope of Millbury and Sonja M. Swedberg of Windsor, CT; 8 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A great-grandchild, Jeremy Stockhaus; a son-in-law, C. Harold Swedberg, Jr. and three brothers, Clifford, Dr. Waldo and George Hagberg predeceased her. She was born in Worcester daughter of Gustaf and Anna M. (Carlson) Hagberg and graduated from Commerce High School.
Mildred was a bookkeeper for Millbury Motors and the former Stockhaus Motors, for many years. She was a member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, its choir for 50 years, the Friendly Circle, and the Mr. and Mrs. Club. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid swimmer at the YWCA with the Nierads Club.
A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Aug. 18, at 11 AM in Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Justin Stockhaus Trust Fund, Att: Yvette Rogala, c/o Webster Five Cents Savings Bank, 290 Main St. Webster, 01570 or to Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester 01607.
