OXFORD-Mina A. (Young) Lindner Brooks, 74, of 48 Orchard Hill Dr., formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, Nov. 25 in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves her soul mate of 13 years, Thomas Calnan of Oxford; nine sons, Henry, Charles, Edward, Daniel, Michael, David, Thomas, Harry and Kenneth Lindner; three daughters, Rose M. Baldwin, Kellyann Lucier and Maureen McNamara; 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a sister, Helen DuBrock, a brother, Frank Young, Jr., several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husbands Gordon J. Lindner, Sr. and William E. Brooks, Jr., a son John G. Lindner, Sr. and a sister Anna Raia.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Hamm) Young. Mina worked in the housekeeping department at Holy Cross College for many years retiring in 1994. She was a member of New England Country Music Club and Emanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed dancing and camping.
Visiting hours will be held in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worc. on Thursday, November 30 from 9-11 AM with a funeral service at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. There will also be visiting hours later that evening from 6-8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a toy donation be made to Toys for Tots.
