WORCESTER- Miriam Cotto, 55, formerly of Miami, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Comerío, Puerto Rico on October 28, 1965 the daughter to the late Filiberto Cotto, Sr., and Aida L. Berrios. Miriam was raised in Worcester, graduated from Fanning Trade School in 1983 and went on to earn her certificate as a certified nursing assistant. She worked for many years as a CNA in both Miami and later in Worcester.

She was a talented cook and especially enjoyed making traditional Cuban cuisine. Above all her family will remember her as a kindhearted and loving woman who enjoyed helping others and had an infectious sense of humor. She was the life of the party and will be missed tremendously by her family and many dear friends. Miriam was a parishioner of St. Paul Cathedral and also attended worship at the Journey Church.

She leaves behind her children, Luis Flores Jr., Christian Flores, Angel Osaldo Flores and Yetsenia Flores, all of Florida; her siblings, Filiberto Cotto Jr., Luis Cotto, Wilfredo Cotto, Luz Haydee Cotto, Rosa Maria Rodriguez, Camen Lydia Cotto and Maria Luisa Rivera; fourteen grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Miriam's life with visiting hours on Thursday, August 19th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 20th at The Cathedral of St. Paul, 38 High St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
