WORCESTER- Miriam Torres, 65, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2021 at UMass Medical Center.

She was born in Santurce Puerto Rico on September 27, 1955 a daughter of Pablo Torres and Cristobalina Martinez. She was the third born child in a family of 12 children and was very protective of all her brothers and sisters. She was always supportive of everyone she encountered and was an inspiration to many. A God-fearing woman of deep faith, Miriam had many people she prayed for daily. She was easily moved to help those in need and developed strong relationships with individuals from her church family whom she cherishes and loves deeply. She also developed strong bonds and relationships with her children and grandchildren. She was incredibly involved and present in their lives and made sure not to miss any of their accomplishments, successes or milestones. She always made sure to extend her love to all her family members and friends and will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to know and love her.

She is survived by her daughter Jessica Torres, Michelle Torres, Doris Melendez, her son Jose Torres and his wife Ishaa Ortiz-Torres, her grandchildren Delilah Carrion, Jenika Anderson, Eronika Anderson, Nikayla Mendez, Julian Torres, Julianna Torres, Julius Torres, Her siblings Luz Maria Oquendo, Pablo Torres, Mildred Torres, Maria Torres, Samuel Torres, Elias Torres, Luis Martinez and her mother Cristobalina Martinez.
