WORCESTER-Mitat Kasaj, 72, passed away Friday, January 14 in Umass Medical Center.
His wife, Zeqine (Kapaj) Kasaj predeceased him. He leaves two sons, Geron Kasaj of Worcester and Ilir Kasaj and his wife, Julia of Germany; his grand-daughter, Luna; four brothers, Bilbil, Enver, Kastriot and Besnik; three sisters, Liri, Mirjana and Noli and nieces and nephews. He was born in Cakran (Fier) Albania, son of the late Alush and Gano (Muhametaj) Kasaj.
Mitat was a public school teacher for 40 years in Albania. He moved to the US recently to live with his son.
Visiting Hours are Monday, January 24 from 10am to 12pm in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
