Nana Boateng A.K.A Papa Yaw

WORCESTER-Nana Boateng, A.K.A. Papa Yaw, 49, of Worcester, died suddenly on Thursday, September 24. He leaves his wife of 15 years, Bertha Owiredu; a son Nana and daughter Nadine all of Worcester, and his mother, Alice (Dentaa) Oppong in Ghana. He also leaves two brothers in Worcester, Bellamy and Edward "Torch" Darko and 10 brothers and 6 sisters in the U.S., Canada, London and Ghana. He also leaves several nephews and nieces. His father Isaac Ackom predeceased him. Nana was born in Ghana and has lived in the United States for nearly 22 years. He worked at Montrose C.D.T. in Auburn for over 20 years and was currently enrolled in the Radiologic Technician program at Quinsigamond Community College.
The visiting hours are Friday, October 30 from 6-9 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 8:30-10:30 in the funeral home.
