Nancy K. Robinson

January 28, 1940 — April 28, 2024

West Boylston

WEST BOYLSTON - Nancy S. (Knowles) Robinson, 84, passed peacefully on April 28, 2024 at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Robinson Sr., whom she wed on Valentine’s Day in 1964. They were married for 47 years.

Nancy was born in Providence, RI and was the daughter of Kenneth L and Edith V. Cooper Knowles. She was the favorite sister to her younger brother, Kenneth “Lox” Knowles, who jokingly referred to her as “George.” She was a graduate of the first class from West Boylston High School in 1958. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Christ Lutheran Nursery School for many years and was a sales representative for Avon. Nancy was an active member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church, and involved with the Ecumenical Council and The Women’s Group. She volunteered with the Friends Council on Aging and the West Boylston Food Pantry.

Nancy had the biggest heart and beautiful smile. She had an infectious laugh and gave  fantastic hugs.  Nancy loved gardening, collecting cobalt blue glass, decorating for holidays, and attending her church’s annual Mother/Daughter Banquet every year with her daughters and eventually granddaughters. She had many loved pets throughout her lifetime.  Feeding the birds in her yard was always a priority, and she loved when she saw cardinals. She enjoyed vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and loved to feed the ducks. No chocolate chip cookie could compare to those Nancy baked. She had many life-long friends including Jane Lindberg and Kathie Pauliukonis and held a special place in her heart for her goddaughter Nia Wellendorf.

Nancy’s life was anchored in her family. She leaves behind her four children: Beth Lyman and her husband Joseph “Bubba” of North Providence, RI; Richard Robinson, Jr. of Vacaville, CA; Meredith Borst and her husband Kevin of Milford; Jennifer Langhill and her husband Tim of Holden. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Tyler and his wife Janae, Andrew, Hannah, Emma, Lily, Tessa, Elizabeth, and Sam. She was  blessed with two great grandchildren, Walker and Cooper. Nancy leaves her brother, Kenneth L. “Lox” Knowles and his wife Melissa of Princeton, her brother-in-law Ron Robinson and his wife Leah, and her nieces and nephew and their families. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Betsey Knowles. Nancy was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors in her life  who will miss her as well.

Nancy’s legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her kindness and devotion to her family will be forever cherished.
