WORCESTER-Nancy M. (McConville) Scales, 63, of Country Club Blvd. died Sunday, Oct. 2 in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 37 years, William P. Scales, a son, Mark A. Scales and his wife Lisa of Worcester, two brothers, William and Peter McConville both of Worcester, a sister, Carol Renaud of Worcester, sister-in-law, Connie Therrien of North Adams, three grandchildren, Jackie, Emma and Jennifer Scales, a great granddaughter, Ariella and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Robert McConville.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of William R. and Gladys M. (Donohue) McConville. Mrs. Scales was a licensed hairdresser for over 30 years and worked at The Looking Glass Salon. She was a very faithful person and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Paul's where she was on the parish council and also ran bingo for many years. She loved to play cards and spend time with her family.
The funeral is Wednesday, October 5 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul's, 15 Chatham Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 4 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
