Nancy E. Senior

WORCESTER-Nancy E. Senior of Worcester passed away peacefully while with her only son on Friday, January 7.

She leaves her son, Anthony Marotta and his wife, Emily and her grandchildren, Chase and Colin all North Grafton; eight siblings, John T. Senior of Putnam, CT, William J. Senior of Auburn, Paul M. Senior of Worcester, Kathleen P. Wells of Athol, Peg T. Lamson of W. Brookfield, Ann Marie Germain of Worcester, Beth Bromage of Upton and Sharon M. Hope of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Maureen E. Wester predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George T. and Marion H. (McCauliff) Senior. All of these she loved and cared for deeply. Nancy graduated from St. Peter's High School.

She worked for over 15 years for O'Brien and Gibbons Insurance Agency on Highland Street in Worcester and enjoyed the people she worked with.
She was passionate about her volunteer work at the Abby's House in Worcester, spending many days and nights helping anyone that was in need. Nancy also enjoyed spending time at Old Orchard Beach with her friends and family, especially walking along the water with her grandsons. She loved being at the ocean and would say "if you're at the beach and you're playing music, you're doing it wrong". She loved travelling to Vermont to spend time with friends and loved to tell stories of all the great things she was doing. She loved cheering for the Red Sox and loved going to her grandson's baseball games. She enjoyed her spiritual healing practice and her life was a living example of one of her favorite quotes, "Healing is not about staying away from something bad but about living a life led by positive values and intentions." She believed in her inner power and truly felt this part of her journey was meant to help others. She dies unconquered. A rebel to the very end.

A Visiting Hour will be held Wednesday, January 12 from 4 to 6pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Funeral and Burial Services will be private for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Abby's House, 52 High Street, Worcester, 01609.
