WORCESTER- Nekia I. Etuk, 41, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at UMass Medical Center after being stricken ill.

Nekia was born in Houston, Texas on June 15, 1975. A 1993 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, in Port Arthur TX. She was a member of New Horizon Church of God in Christ. Formerly employed as a driver
MCI Transportation.

She leaves behind her mother, Ingrid Adade and her husband Pastor Joseph Adade of Worcester; her son Auston Gipson and her two daughters Hannah Abubakar and Zette Mae Gipson all reside in Worcester, seven siblings Auntzell Adade of Whales, Kwadwo Adade, , Ohemaa Dowling, Dina Yeboah of Worcester, Carol Torres of Southbridge, Daniel Adade of Niceville, Florida, and Marshalyn Etuk, New Boston, TX. One aunt Yolanda McKenzie of Port Arthur, TX and Three great aunts, Dorothy Francis, Mercer Anderson and Elizabeth Hayes all of Port Arthur, TX.
Nieces and nephews, Malachi Adade, Zianne Adade, Jonah Adade Josiah Adade, Judah Adade, Zachariah Dowling, Aaron Dowling, Shawn Yeboah, Chantal Yeboah, Shyla Yeboah, Ava Yeboah, Emma Yeboah, Andru Adade, Auntzell Adade Jr., Adrianna Adade and Elizabeth Kensley all of temple of Temple, TX., Faith Adade, Jabari Adade, La'Aja Adade, and Daniel Adade Jr, all of Niceville, Florida, Leilani Torres, of Southbridge, MA; Cousins Terry McKenzie Jr, Marlon Buck McKenzie and Jelon L. Jackson of Port Arthur, TX, Best friend cousin Tiffany Marcel, of Port Arthur, TX, Kofi Asenso, of Worcester, MA and a host of cousin in the state of Texas.
Brother and Sister -in-laws Luis Torres of Southbridge, MA Rondell Dowling of Worcester, MA, Kwame Yeboah, of Worcester, MA and Jamie Adade, of Niceville, FL; her lifelong friend, Christine Turnage of San Antonio, TX.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7th at 11:00am at Mt. Sinai Church of God In Christ, 63 Wellington St., Worcester. Visiting hours will precede the service from 9:00am - 11:00am in the church. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery
